Welcome, Father.

A personal invitation for Catholic clergy

Thank you for the quiet, faithful work of your ministry — and for the care you bring to those entrusted to you.

This page introduces a simple stewardship‑formation experiment you may explore personally, at your own pace.

What this experiment is

DoublePenniesOnline LLC is a research experiment built on a familiar mathematical idea: a single penny doubled each day for thirty days grows into more than five million pennies. We take that principle — exponential growth — as the structural foundation for a stewardship‑formation experiment.

We use this familiar illustration not for its dollar outcome, but for the discipline and pattern it teaches. The experiment is a study of how households can practice intentional, faith‑shaped stewardship over time.

What this is not

This is not an investment, not a fundraiser, and not a parish program.

How participation works

Participation begins with a fully refundable $10 research fee. This simply activates your first cycle — it is not a donation or contribution.

In Phase 1 — the entry phase of the experiment — each order initiates a $500 exponential‑growth cycle. When your cycle is ready, the same $10 fee retrieves it. There is no additional cost. Eligible participants may place up to 20 orders.

A continuing Phase 2 may be offered later, in which retrieval involves a small $10 Opportunity Access Fee. Fees in any phase are part of the research model — not donations, not contributions, and not income.

Why Catholic Social Teaching matters

“It is required of stewards that they be found trustworthy.”

1 Corinthians 4:2

The $500 from each cycle is used for ordinary consumer spending — groceries, utilities, household essentials, the daily needs of family life. Spending is guided by the principles of Catholic Social Teaching: stewardship of what is entrusted to us, responsibility for our households, and care for the common good. The experiment quietly asks what happens when households spend with intentionality and with the dignity of every neighbor in view.

Why clergy are invited first

Stewardship is, at its heart, a pastoral concern — the formation of conscience around what we have, what we share, and what we are called to do with both. Clergy carry that formation in a unique way, which is why we are inviting Catholic priests first. Your participation is personal — entirely separate from any parish, diocese, or institutional role you hold.

A few quiet questions

Is this connected to my parish?

No. Participation is personal and not tied to any parish or diocese.

Is this financial?

No. This is a research‑based stewardship experiment, not an investment or fundraiser.

Is it safe to try?

Yes. The $10 research fee is fully refundable, and you may discontinue at any time.

May God bless your ministry and all those you serve.
