About DoublePenniesOnline LLC
Why we'd give you $500 of our money to spend.
DoublePenniesOnline LLC isn't a financial product, an investment vehicle, or a multi-level scheme. We're a U.S.-registered research and development company built on a single conviction: that stable household spending — even when life sends unexpected pressures — is one of the most valuable things to support and study in modern economics.
This isn't marketing language. It's our regulatory classification. Every operational decision DPO makes flows from it.

Why DPO exists
Most households today live with a kind of low-grade financial unease. Jobs are less stable than they used to be. AI is reshaping which work survives. Costs keep rising. Savings keep shrinking. A car repair, a medical bill, or a sudden change in income can ripple through a family for months.
Traditional economic research studies these pressures from the outside — counting symptoms, publishing papers, recommending policy that takes years to land.
DoublePenniesOnline LLC was built to study them from the inside — by participating directly. We generate spending opportunities through a structured exponential growth model, deliver them to households via a Consumer Research Spending Card System, and study what happens when real families have a little extra steadiness in their everyday spending.
Research that supports the people it studies. That's the design.
It's a model where the participant isn't a subject, but a partner. Where the research output isn't an academic paper at the end of a five-year cycle, but a household running a little more steadily today. And where the company's success is measured by the same standard the participant cares about — does the support actually help.
What sets DPO apart
Research, not retail.
We're a registered R&D company under NAICS 541720 — Research and Development in the Social Sciences and Humanities. The research framing isn't marketing language; it's our regulatory classification, and every operational decision reflects it.
Refundable, always.
Your $10 entry is refundable at any time, even after your $500 spending opportunity has been credited. There's no fine print, no trapped-money mechanic, no "you've already used it" exception. The refund is a structural commitment to participant dignity.
Stewardship, not extraction.
Every safeguard — the spending opportunity excluding gambling, lottery, alcohol, tobacco, firearms, and similar; the no-recruiting rule; the capped spending opportunities — is designed to protect the household and the participant, not to maximize what DPO can extract.
Sponsored, not redistributed.
Spending opportunities come from DPO's research budget. We're not redistributing money among participants; we're funding the experiment ourselves to study what household stability looks like in real life.
Where this is going
What's available today is the proving ground for something larger. DPO's long-term direction is a research-grounded model of steady spending support that scales beyond the entry experiment.
Entry-level participation
Up to 10 orders, up to $5,000 in spending opportunities across the experiment. Each $10 fee fully refundable at any time. The proving ground for Phase 2.
Lifetime support
Extends DPO's stewardship support across a lifetime — helping households maintain steady consumer spending for the long term, beyond Phase 1's caps. Details and timing announced as Phase 2 opens.
The conviction behind it: households shouldn't have to navigate every financial surprise alone, and a research-grounded model of steady spending support is something worth building for the long term. Phase 1 is the way in — and the foundation for what comes next.
Built on stewardship
DPO's research approach and operational design are anchored in stewardship — the conviction that economic systems should serve human dignity, not the other way around. The framework that informs us rests on three pillars: Trust, Human Dignity, and Common Good.
You don't need to be Catholic — or any particular faith — to participate in DPO's research. The stewardship principles describe how DPO operates, not who can join. All faiths and no faith are welcome.
