Which DPO participation applies to you?
DPO research participation is structured around two phases and two regions. The four cards below represent the full set of enrollment paths. Select the one that matches your country of residence and the phase you're enrolling in. Each path uses an informed consent process designed for its specific track.

Eligibility is based on your country of residence, not mailing address. Active paths start enrollment immediately; paths not yet open let you request notification when they do.
U.S. Phase 1 Participation
Up to 20 orders × $500 = $10,000 Phase 1 max. The CRSC is a virtual card with MCC restrictions enforced at the register — stewardship guardrails built into the card itself.
U.S. Phase 2 Participation
Long-term restricted-spend support administered through a research trust. Same MCC framework as Phase 1, extended across a longer participation horizon under independent trust governance.
International Phase 1 Participation
Up to 20 orders × $500 = $10,000 Phase 1 max. Delivered through a DPO-curated essentials catalog rather than an MCC-restricted card. Available in all countries supported by our processors, excluding OFAC-sanctioned regions.
International Phase 2 Participation
Ongoing monthly digital research-support credit, voluntary, no trust required. Continues the same regional principle as International Phase 1 with a long-term horizon.
We'll help you choose
Eligibility is based on your country of residence, not your mailing address. If you live primarily in the U.S., choose the U.S. track; if you live primarily outside the U.S., choose the International track. Phase 1 is the entry-level participation that's currently active in the U.S.; Phase 2 extends participation long-term.
If you're unsure or have a less typical situation (frequent international travel, recent relocation, dual residence), email support@doublepennies.online with your situation and we'll help you confirm which path applies.
Different instruments, identical principles
The four enrollment paths above differ in how stewardship is delivered. Everything else — the research-first design, the regulatory framing, the refund right — is identical across all four.
